Taylor Lautner's first attempt at non-Twilight success will come in the form of Abduction, a kidnapping thriller being directed by John Singleton. The project is just about ready to go, with a July 12th start date planned, but first some additional names have come aboard. The film is now a veritable character-actor smorgasbord...
As Deadline.com has it, Sigourney Weaver will play Lautner's therapist, Maria Bello (pictured above) his mother, Jason Isaacs his father, Denzel Whitaker his best friend and Swedish actor Michael Nyqvist as the film's chief villain. This bunch joins Lily Collins, who'll play Lautner's girlfriend, and Alfred Molina, who brings his awesomeness to the role of an FBI agent.
