I Am Number Four

I Am Number Four, the alien-refugee YA novel from James Frey and Jobie Hughes’ extraterrestrial pseudonym, "Pittacus Lore", was only released this past August, but the trailer for the film version starring Alex Pettyfer and Timothy Olyphant has already come out.

Synopsis: Extraordinary teen John Smith (Pettyfer) is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri (Olyphant), John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events-his first love (Agron), powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.

The final chapter of Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy will head stateside November 25th. Empireonline.com released an exclusive look at the trailer today, which stars Noomi Rapace reprising her role as Lisbeth Salander, or as you may know her better the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Daniel Alfredson also returns to direct after helming the second installment The Girl Who Played With Fire.

Tom Hooper's film The King's Speech won the People's Choice Award (aka top prize) at the Toronto International Film Festival, and wowed audiences just a week prior to Telluride.  Now there's a trailer for the picture, which suggests that the film is every bit the crowd-pleaser it is said to be.

Synopsis: The film is based on the true story of the Queen of England’s father and his remarkable friendship with maverick Australian speech therapist Lionel Logue. The King’s Speech stars Academy Award nominee Colin Firth as King George VI, who unexpectedly becomes King when his brother Edward abdicates the throne. Academy Award Winner Geoffrey Rush stars as Logue, the man who helps the King find a voice with which to lead the nation into war.

But Ronny’s world is turned upside down when he inadvertently sees Geneva out with another man and makes it his mission to get answers. A Russian movie trailer has been released online for 13, the American remake of the award-winning French crime Thriller 13 Tzameti.

Synopsis: 13 follows the story of a young, innocent construction worker who steals an envelope containing instructions for a mysterious job that promises to pay out a fortune. He soon finds himself in the middle of a deadly ring of clandestine gamblers placing bets on the outcome of a multi-player, high stakes tournament of Russian roulette. It is a story of luck, chance, the loss of innocence and the relationship between power and money.

The trailer for Doug Liman's Fair Game is now online and while the trailer itself is a tad on the cheesy side, the movie itself looks terrific.
