The Town

It was an impressive weekend at the Box Office. Ben Affleck’s gritty crime drama The Town debuted on 2,861 screens to slip comfortably into the top slot, raking in $23.8 million. Not far behind was Will Gluck’s romantic comedy Easy A, which earned just over $18 million while opening to virtually the same screen count. The M. Night Shyamalan produced chiller Devil occupied the third slot earning $12.5 million.

The Milla Jovovich anchored 3D offering Resident Evil: Afterlife fell from the number one slot to number four, siphoning another $10.1 million from the pockets of the zombie transfixed, while the latest animated offering from Lionsgate, Alpha and Omega drew just over $9 million to round out the top 5 Box Office earners.
