This week kicked off with Earth Day, and since After Earth is set in a distant future where humanity was forced to abandon its home, Sony Pictures issued an ostensibly Earth Day-themed ad.

In addition to that extended TV spot, today the studio followed up with some crisp, clean new images featuring Will Smith and Jaden Smith.

How about a big haul of stills from Before Midnight, the second sequel to 1995's Before Sunrise? 

You know, the one that finds Celine and Jesse hanging around in yet another beautiful European location over the course of a single day on which they discuss life, the universe, and everything?

The first look at this summer's 300 sorta-sequel 300: Rise of an Empire has arrived in the form of two images showing the new lead and some more almost naked men presented in painterly fashion.

And director Noam Murro is also explaining just how his movie is related to and differs from Zack Snyder's 2007 actioner.

The entirety of the Marvel Cinematic Phase 2 sneak peek featurette is pretty much pornographic in its hype-building, its explicit laying out of first look goodies from the next two years of Marvel Studios.

We're talking about reams of revealing behind the scenes footage from Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, along with concept art and animatics from Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy.  And the video even provides our first look at Edgar Wright's proof-of-concept test reel for Ant-Man.

Also, Joss Whedon reports promising things about The Avengers 2, even though it's early in the process of building the sequel.

You know what's gone regrettably out of fashion?  Action movies centered around a pair of mismatched, contentious heroes who simultaneously love and hate one another.

Luckily, 2 Guns looks determined to bring this kind of buddy-cop actioner back into style, with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg handling this two-hander.  Universal Pictures has zigged rather than zagged, opting to drop an extended 2 Guns trailer, theatrical poster, and five official images all in one go.

If you want to keep from seeing many of the treats contained within Iron Man 3, then you're going to want to avoid all promotional material between now and May 3rd.

Turn off the TV when a commercial pops up, look away from any posters or billboards, and definitely don't check out these close-up images showing off four of Tony Stark's new suits in his iron armada.

Alright, Rogues.  Eight new images from next Friday's Evil Dead remake have us reviewing the protocol for surviving a horror movie situation.

Three new images from Only God Forgives are making the rounds, showing off some crucial elements of the film: very pretty cinematography, Ryan Gosling, Kristen Scott Thomas, Vithaya Pansringarm, fiscticuffs, lots of red, and at least one sword.

Universal Pictures has released a crop of official images and a new theatrical trailer for Despicable Me 2.

As the villainous Gru shouts in the course of the trailer, "That's right, baby!  Gru's back in the game with cool cars, gadgets, and weapons!"

Two new images from Guillermo del Toro's monsters versus mechs epic Pacific Rim have shown up online, and both turn on the tease.
