SDCC 2011 EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Val Kilmer talks 'Top Gun 2'

Veteran actor Val Kilmer (The Doors, Batman Forever, Tombstone) appeared at Comic-Con International 2011 in San Diego on Saturday, along with legendary director Francis Ford Coppola (The Godfather, The ConversationApocalypse Now) to discuss their experimental new film Twixt to an audience of fans in Hall H.

Late last year rumors began to spread that director Tony Scott was considering making a sequel to his seminal '80s film Top Gun and that he wanted Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer to reprise their iconic roles as Maverick and Iceman, respectively.

IAR had a chance to speak with Val Kilmer after his panel on Saturday and we asked the actor if he would be interested in returning to the role of Iceman if Scott were to make the sequel. Kilmer was very candid with us and talked about the project, his desire to work with Tony Scott again, and he even told us what he thinks the title of the film should be.

Twixt is currently in post-production.
