“This life is not an easy one. I’ve made enemies, powerful enemies. I’ve put those I love in danger. But the one thing that has haunted me my entire life is finding the truth about my parents.”

Actor Andrew Garfield speaks those fateful words as Peter Parker in a voice over during the opening moments of the second and final The Amazing Spider-Man trailer, which premiered on Apple.com at 4PM PST today. The trailer will run in theaters tomorrow with The Avengers (fittingly), while the film is set to swing into theaters on July 3rd.

As you probably already know, the movie is a reboot of the popular film series based on the classic Marvel comic book character created by the legendary Stan Lee. Ironically helmed by (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb, the film features Andrew Garfield (The Social Network) as Peter Parker, who by day is an outcast high school student and at night becomes your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. In addition to Garfield, the film features Emma Stone (The Help) as Peter’s love interest Gwen Stacey, and Rhys Ifans (Anonymous) as his mentor and eventual enemy Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard.
