Check out our Exclusive Interview with Fertile Ground writer/director and co-writer, Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson.
We finish off this week of celebrating After Dark Originals with a very talented couple. Adam Gierasch and Jace Anderson are horror’s dynamic duo, contributing to such films as Mother of Tears, and the bloody entertaining remakes of The Toolbox Murders and Night of the Demons. With Fertile Ground, their latest feature, we see a very different side of horror. When iamROGUE.com spoke with Adam and Jace, we talked about the origin of the story and about working together. Both Adam and Jace made for a fantastic interview. The two are very kind, and they have a genuine love of this genre which is always wonderful.

Beware! This January 28th, After Dark Films is offering something new. For four years, they have given audiences “8 Films to Die For”, a series of films designed to scare the living hell out of you.
Over the past four years, After Dark Films has terrified audiences with Horrorfest: 8 Films to Die For. Each year, the festival offered filmmakers the chance to reveal original works of horror that run the gamut in the genre. From ghost stories to slasher horror, 8 Films to Die For was ready to present to audiences a variety of thrills and chills.
If you’re a fan of After Dark Films’ Horrorfest series, we’ve got some great news for you: a set of eight brand new chillers released in partnership with Syfy and Lionsgate, as the After Dark Originals series.
What’s the difference between Horrorfest and Originals? Each and every After Dark Originals film will be exclusively financed and produced by After Dark Films alone, no outsourcing on deck for this mash-up of the macabre.
Much like the popular Horrorfest series, Originals will feature eight new frightening pieces of fiction. While production will be handled by ADF solely, don’t expect much change in structure, as the company has proven committed to releasing independent horror in heaping handfuls to fans across the country on a yearly basis.
