HBO's Game Change, a chronicling of the 2008 Presidential Election, seems to be casting up along partisan lines, starting with the Republican campaign.  First, we heard that four-time Oscar nominee Julianne Moore would play Vice Presidential candidate, glasses-wearer, and grizzly mom Sarah Palin, then yesterday brought the news that Ed Harris, another four-time Oscar nominee, would play her running mate, Arizona Senator and Presidential candidate John McCain.  Now, Deadline reports that two-time Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson is set to play McCain's senior campaign strategist and adviser Steve Schmidt.

Jay Roach Spotlight: Creating a Strong Story

Tuesday, 18 January 2011 11:04

Jay Roach is one of the most talented directors in Hollywood. He has an uncanny ability to turn something tragic into laugh out loud humor. This is especially evident in his latest feature Dinner for Schmucks starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd. Schmucks is available now on Blu-ray and DVD.

Jay Roach is one of the smartest comedic directors around. Whether he is tackling Austin Powers or the Focker family, he delivers very funny and also very sharp bits of humor.

What he also brings to the table is the ability to direct some of the funniest actors in the business. There is a reason guys like Ben Stiller and Mike Myers like working with Jay. He has the talent to mix the crude, rude and heartbreaking all into one story.
