Definitely not a show about forgiveness, ABC’s saucy new hit Revenge is successfully quenching the insatiable appetites of fans that cannot wait from week to week to see what could possibly be happening next in the Hamptons. Speaking with Gabriel Mann, who portrays the naughty-but-also-nice Nolan Ross, many questions were asked and answered. Well, answered to as much of a degree as he was allowed.

Mann says of his role as Nolan, “I’ve been given a goldmine with this character.” Laughing he adds, “If I crack up and can’t get through my lines during the table reads then I know we have a winner.” In regards to reading the scripts, he says that he constantly marvels at the brilliant dialogue. “I get to say that on network television?” 

With a restrained glance to the side and a unique shake-shrug of the shoulder that only Mann can pull off, he conveys to his audience the many facets of his complex character in a way that is both charming and telling of just enough so that you are privy to the fact that there is so much more to Nolan Ross than first meets the eye. Not always aware that he is even doing this, he explains, “I’ve ingested him at this point.” Of creating a character, he adds, “You take the character and you flesh it out.  My job is to find as much humanity within this eccentric guy. Who’s the guy behind this façade and what’s his driving force?”

Last summer, Chris Hemsworth entered the American cultural consciousness as the title character in Marvel's Thor, but his younger sibling, Liam Hemsworth, is on track to match or exceed his brother as a bankable movie star here in the States.  Liam Hemsworth is playing romantic co-lead Gale Hawthorne in this spring's The Hunger Games and its inevitable sequels, and he's the youngest rough-and-tumble member of Sylvester Stallone's mercenary team in this summer's The Expendables 2.  Now, he's signed on to show his full dramatic potential in Timeless, an emotional adventure to be directed by Phillip Noyce.

Just a few months ago, it looked as though we might not be seeing director Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger until 2014, but Disney is moving ahead with the high-profile revival of the serialized western hero and his sidekick Tonto, played respectively by Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp.  According to Deadline, the House of Mickey has just set the film for release on December 21, 2012. 

Last summer's action film Salt was initially written as a Bourne Identity-style vehicle for International Movie Star® Tom Cruise.  When he eventually bailed on the project, Edwin A. Salt became Evelyn A. Salt and fellow International Movie Star® Angelina Jolie got a summer action movie all to herself.  Under the direction of Phillip Noyce, Jolie engaged in all manner of espionage, beating people up by the dozens, extracting spider-venom, and kidnapping the Vice President.  Now, Sony is developing a sequel, and Jolie is reportedly looking to once again play a Russian spy.

Relativity Media announced release dates for two very different films due in 2012.  First, there's Safe Haven, a romance adapted from the novel by Nicholas Sparks, who also wrote The Notebook.  That  film will hit theaters during superhero season in just over a year, on June 1, 2012.  The submarine-action thriller Hunter-Killer, from veteran action director Phillip Noyce, now has a December 21, 2012 release date.  Additionally, Relativity has moved the release date of the Julia Roberts-starring Untitled Snow White Project to March 16, 2012.

Relativity Media has closed a deal with Phillip Noyce (Salt, The Bone Collector) to direct their upcoming action-thriller Hunter Killer, based on the novel Firing Point by George Wallace and Don Keith.

Relativity’s Hunter Killer follows an untested submarine captain who must work with a Navy SEAL team to rescue the Russian president, who has been taken prisoner during a military coup, in an effort to stop a rogue Russian General from igniting World War III.
