20th Century Fox has revealed a new trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  As you'd expect, this particular trailer's "grown-ups only" designation is not a product of bad language or nudity, but rather, lots of blood being spilled.  Or, more accurately, lots of blood flying at the screen in arterial sprays of various speeds thanks to the speed-ramp action style of director Timur Bekmambetov.

This morning we saw a featurette for Dark Shadows, Tim Burton's new film penned by mashup novelist-turned-screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith.  Now, let's make it a twofer with a brand new featurette for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, based on Grahame-Smith's second novel.  The two-minute promotional piece includes lots of new footage of star Benjamin Walker spinning his ax like a bat out of hell, interspersed with a bull session between Grahame-Smith, producer Burton, and director Timur Bekmambetov.

As you can read in IAR's coverage from the ground at WonderCon in Anaheim, the panel for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter included no shortage of goodies, such as an extended clip and a new theatrical trailer.  Luckily for those of us who couldn't make it to Anaheim, the second theatrical trailer for the history/action/horror mashup is available to view online right now.  It demonstrates once again that, despite the ludicrous premise, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter takes itself very seriously.

The last time we saw little John McClane Jr., he was just a little tyke played by Noah land in 1988's Die Hard.  Since a grown up version of his sister, Lucy McClane, was played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead in 2007's Live Free or Die Hard, it was all but inevitable that the fifth film would find Bruce Willis as John McClane joining forces with a now-adult John Jr.  After months of searching for the right young actor to play the part, 20th Century Fox has formally announced that Jai Courtney has been selected to share the screen with Willis in next year's A Good Day to Die Hard.  The studio also revealed an image of Courtney's screen test with Willis for good measure.

Yesterday, 20th Century Fox revealed the very first teaser trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  Despite the inherent goofiness of the premise that our 16th President was, in fact, a secret hunter of fashionable bloodsuckers, the trailer played it surprisingly straight, and today there's a new, slightly longer international that plays it even straighter.  Fox also marked the real kickoff of its marketing effort on Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter with several new stills showing Benjamin Walker in action as a superpowered, kung-fu adept Great Emancipator.

What if, instead of being a high school student, Buffy, the eponymous vampire slayer of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, were, in fact, the 16th President of the United States of America on an quest to avenge the death of his mother by a secret vampire consortium?  Okay, that doesn't make much sense, but we're talking about a movie called Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, so why am I being held to some standard of sense.  Today, a handful of new images from this summer's 3D feature smooshing together Civil War history and vampire-mania arrived online, and all four feature Benjamin Walker as Abe himself.

Just yesterday, we got a look at a behind the scenes video and an international poster Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.  Both those brightly lit peeks at the secretly supernatural lifestyle of America's 16th President are followed today by two shadowy stills featuring Benjamin Walker as the Great Emancipator.  In both darkly-lit images, a giant shiny ax is probably the single most prominent element, suggesting that this slayer eschews the traditional wooden stakes, garlic, and crucifixes.  The long trenchcoat, meanwhile, suggests that vampire hunters were conscious of looking cool long before Blade.

Following the double dose of official stills from Prometheus and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, we now have two official images from a pair of big 2012 blockbusters, albeit blockbusters that aren't quite as rapturously hyped as those two.  This image-duplex covers Men in Black 3 and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, two expensive 3D features set for the busy summer season.

Men in Black 3 is, of course, the second sequel to 1997's science fiction comedy, with director Barry Sonnenfeld and stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones all returning for the first franchise entry in a full decade.  Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, meanwhile, director Timur Bekmambetov's adaptation of the mashup novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, and its pretty much exactly what it sounds like, starring Benjamin Walker as the 16th American President who also happens to be a secret slayer.  Why?  Because his mother was killed by a vampire.  Naturally.
