'Entourage' Teaser Trailer: The Movie Looks Exactly Like the Show

Spoiler alert: Vinny's gonna do the movie.

Because America – nay, the world – demanded it, the first teaser trailer for the Entourage feature film has arrived online just in time for Christmas.

Basically, this looks like a longer version of your average episode of the HBO series, which chronicled the stakes-free adventures of charisma-less movie star Vinnie Chase, his three closest hangers-on, and his volatile agent.

The budget of the movie is bigger, though, so the parodies are more splashy, the yachts and cars are more expensive, and the women are even more beautiful (easier to objectify that way).

Adrian Grenier returns as Vinnie, joined by Kevin Connolly as E, Jerry Ferrara as Turtle, Kevin Dillon as Johnny Drama, and, of course, Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold.

After the obligatory fake trailer for a movie-within-the-movie, this teaser wastes no time establishing that everyone is still exactly the same as they were when we last saw them three years ago.  Well, sort of, as Entourage also doesn't waste much time making a joke about Turtle's svelter appearance.  Other than that, all these characters are pretty much unchanged a decade after they first scumbagged their way through this glossy Hollywood fantasy.

The movie is written and directed by Doug Ellin, who co-created the show with executive producer Mark Wahlberg.

Speaking of Wahlberg, his appearance here is just the tip of the cameo iceberg.  Like the series, Entourage is powered largely by the promise of stars big and small playing funhouse mirror versions of themselves or other industry stereotypes.  The trailer alone teases Emily Ratajkowski, Billy Bob Thornton, Haley Joel Osment, and Rhonda Rousey, along with returning series players Perrey Reeves, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Rex Lee, and Debi Mazar.

Last year, Turtle himself Jerry Ferrara talked to IAR Managing Editor Jami Philbrick about the return of Entourage

"You know what’s kind of cool? It’s been about two years since our finale aired and we have a whole new group of fans now through HBO GO," said Ferrara. "Recently I’ve been having eighteen and nineteen-year-old kids coming up to me and saying, 'I love the show.' I’m like, 'Wait a second, you were ten years old when the show started, you can’t be watching.' They’re like, 'No, I watched all eight seasons in three weeks!' It’s weird. We’re getting a whole new generation of fans, which is exciting."

Entourage is scheduled to open nationwide on June 5, 2015.

Warner Bros. also just released an official teaser poster and a poster for Hyde, the scifi DJ project that Chase apparently directed:
