Put the Pedal to the Metal with 4 Clips and 3 Featurettes for 'Furious 7'

With just three weeks until Furious 7 hits on April 3rd, it's time to put the pedal to the metal.

We're doing just that thanks to four high-impact new clips from the film, including a knock-down, drag-out brawl between Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, a breakneck highway heist, and Kurt Russell masterfully making exposition look easy.

As if that weren't enough, we also have three featurettes going behind the scenes of Furious 7 to look at the new members of the Fast family, the bar-raising action sequences, and the poignant return to the old Toretto home.

This sequel picks up right where Furious 6 left off: Dom and his crew are safely back in Los Angeles with their records cleared.  Unbeknownst to them, though, their cohort Han has already been murdered by Deckard Shaw, the special forces badass brother of Furious 6 bad guy Owen Shaw.  Deckard's out for vengeance, and he lets the Torettos know just how serious he is by blowing up their goddamn house.  With their backs against the proverbial wall, the crew has an easy choice: ride or die.

When Justin Lin, the director who took over on Tokyo Drift and basically hit the nitrous over four consecutive Fasts, opted not to return for Furious 7, we worried that this installment would pump the brakes a bit.  New director James Wan clearly wasn't interested in letting this franchise rest on its laurels, however.  As the clip of some audacious skydriving proved, Wan is instead raising the bar on fast and/or furious action.

That's made abundantly clear with this fight between Dobbs and Shaw, a brawl that lays waste to many a window.  Watch all four clips below:

Now feast your peepers on these three featurettes, the first of which runs through new members of the ensemble like Statham, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Ronda Rousey, Tony Jaa, and Djimon Hounsou.

These newbies join returning franchise vets Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Lucas Black, finally reprising his role as Sean Boswell now that the series has finally caught up with Tokyo Drift.
