Fillion, Longoria becoming ‘Avengers’?

Rumors are spreading that two more roles have been cast in Joss Whedon`s upcoming superhero extravaganza, The Avengers. Nathan Fillion, who played the irritating and unlikable hero in Dr. Horrible`s Sing-along Blog (also directed by Whedon), would play Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym. Fillion`s deal is said to be a multi-film deal starting with the 2012 Avengers project.

The other rumored deal is said to be for Eva Longoria, signing on to play Janet Van Dyne. Her potential casting doesn`t come as much of a surprise since back in 2008 she was seen leaving Marvel with Avengers material in hand.

If you saw Iron Man 2, I hope you picked up on the Avengers foreshadowing. If the little hints dropped in Iron Man are to be believed, we can also expect to see Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson reunited for at least this first Avengers film.
