‘Social Network’ frighteningly accurate

I am proud to say that I do not have a Facebook account. Why? Because Mark Zuckerberg is an out-of-touch crazy person who thinks that no one is entitled to any privacy. While this may be a slight exaggeration on my part, Zuckerberg is becoming notorious for his company`s (lack of) privacy policy. Over the last few weeks, Facebook has come under fire by various media outlets, and Zuckerberg`s public responses have not gone over well...

So, Columbia Pictures` poster for the upcoming David Fincher feature based on Zuckerberg and the creation of Facebook, The Social Network, is entirely accurate.

“You don`t get to 500 million friends without making a few enemies.”

The poster touches a nerve within the social media community, which is probably why I find it so fascinatingly cool. Eisenberg, beneath the overlaying text, looks appropriately naïve yet menacing. You can`t help but feel bad for him even while you hate him.

This poster, hinting at the recent antics of Zuckerberg, has made me incredibly excited for The Social Network`s October 1 release. Though, I won`t be surprised if the film pales in comparison to Zuckerberg`s real life drama.
