Demi Moore joins 'Margin Call' cast

A pretty terrific cast is currently being assembled for Margin Call, an indie drama tracking 24 hours in the lives of eight desperate people in the midst of a Wall Street financial crisis. (So maybe Crash meets Wall Street?) Demi Moore, Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Simon Baker, Zachary Quinto, Penn Badgley, and Stanley Tucci are among the high-profile names involved in the flick, which is being directed by newcomer J.C. Chandor. Deadline.com reports that Moore will take on the role of a chief risk management officer at a firm.

Quinto is producing with his Before The Door Pictures partners Neal Dodson and Corey Moosa, which begs the question, does every actor in this town have his own production company?

Given the current economic climate, this movie is coming at just the right time, if not a little late. A problem I have with this is the title. Not very appealing, but it is relevant. A quick google search reveals that a margin call... is something you don't want to get. Or make. At least one of them. (If you're really curious, check out the proper definition here.)

Filming on Margin Call begins next week.
