I’ve seen countless documentaries over the course of three decades, and I’ll openly admit that, upon viewing this trailer, I Am could be one of the most influential doc's ever shot. There’s a sense of unity clinging to this picture that gives me, a self-aware pessimist, a profound feeling of genuine hope ('m not hyping here, but speaking from the heart). I’ll be extremely candid and tell you readers the God’s honest truth, I personally don’t hold faith in man, I refuse to lower my barriers and trust a single soul.
A simple trailer for Tom Shadyac’s I Am (which you’ll see below) has me honestly questioning my stance on life, human nature and mankind’s ability to make a difference in an often savage world. To sum it up, I am deeply moved by this trailer, and if I could get my hands on a copy of the film today, I’d do with no hesitation.
Watch the trailer below, it’s a preview to a piece of artwork that may be one of the best documentaries ever shot.
