Like a hostage taker, the hacker maintained unlimited power over Gomez’s twitter for around thirty minutes, using the opportunity to tweet, “Oh yeh, JUSTIN BIEBER SUCKS!!!!!!”  The exclamation point loving hacker then took credit for their work in a youtube video.

The tweets by the Gomez-imposter have been deleted and no lasting damage appears to have been done.  Head over to Popeater for a more thorough account of the hacking.

I’m more surprised to hear that Gomez has been getting death threats.  Should she be afraid that some die hard, fundamentalist Beiber fans will do her harm, or is it all reactionary talk?
