‘Inception’ and ‘Social Network’ Win Big at WGA Awards

Here’s some more news to soothe the pain of Christoher Nolan’s nonexistent Best Director nomination.  The director and writer of Inception won the award for Original Screenplay at the Writers Guild of America Awards on Saturday.  Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network won in the Adapted Screenplay category.  Interestingly, Inception is Nolan’s first solo screenwriting effort since Memento.  Check out all the winners from film, television, radio, and new media.

It’s always nice to see some love for Futurama.  While 30 Rock won for a single comedic episode, the award for overall comedy series went to Modern Family.  That’s further proof that I’m really missing out and need to give the show a watch or two.
