Jay Roach to Direct 'Game Change'

Jay Roach, the director responsible for the Austin Powers franchise, as well as Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, will direct Game Change for HBO Films.  The movie will be based on "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime", a non-fiction account of the 2008 presidential election by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin

Though the aforementioned comedies make Roach seem an odd choice for a fact based political drama, he also directed Recount, which chronicled the drama around the Florida recount in the 2000 presidential election  for HBO.  The Wrap has the news that Roach will direct from a script his Recount writer Danny Strong.

Perhaps by the time this movie arrives, I won't have to hear people use the phrase "game changer" several times daily, for even the most mundane occurrences.

Do you think there's a chance, or is game changer a permanent part of the vernacular?
