Julianne Moore To Play Sarah Palin in 'Game Change'

Tiny Fey's Saturday Night Live interpretation of 2008 vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is the most recognizable take on the former mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, but the 30 Rock star is about to be in good company, as Oscar nominated actress Julianne Moore has signed on to portray Palin in the HBO movie Game Change, according to The Hollywood Reporter

The star of The Kids Are All Right is the first actor cast in the political drama from Jay Roach, who previously directed the HBO movie Recount, depicting the events of the Florida recount in the 2000 presidential election.  Roach also directed all three films in the distinctly apolitical Austin Powers franchise.  For Game Change, he is again teaming with his Recount writer Danny Strong.

The film is based on the non-fiction bestseller Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.

Based on the choice of Julianne Moore, it's clear that Jay Roach intends to have high level talent portray the political figures in Game Change.  Who do you think he'll get to play the likes of Barack Obama, John McCain, and Hillary and Bill Clinton?
