'Priest' Gets a Simplified Second Trailer

The last time writer-director Scott Charles Stewart and actor Paul Bettany got together, Bettany played a renegade angel employing a truckload of automatic weapons to defend humanity from a heavenly apocalypse in Legion.  In Stewart's upcoming Priest, Bettany is a renegade cleric who uses crucifix ninja stars and slo-mo kung fu to fight vampires in a postapocalyptic wasteland.  A brand-spanking new, second theatrical trailer for Priest features no shortage of killer-crucifixes and vampires.

The first trailer emphasized the slick, derivative visuals and the hodgepodge of genre influences, but this new trailer, which debuted at Yahoo! Movies, distills the film down to two crucial elements: action and vampires.

Priest is an adaptation of manga series by Min-Woo Hyung, but I've heard complaints that film appears to deviate from the source material substantially.  Joining Paul Bettany in the vampire mayhem are Karl Urban, Lily Collins, Christopher Plummer, Maggie Q, Cam Gigandet, Brad Dourif, and Stephen Moyer.  See if you can spot all the allusions when it hits theaters in 2D and 3D on May 13th.
