Will Smith is lookin' to turn to the dark side?

Deadline.com is reporting that Big Willie Style will produce and star in The Legend of Cain, an epic spin on the biblical Cain and Abel story with a vampiric twist - with Smith playing bad brother Cain. Honestly, I have zero idea what that synopsis portends, but I suppose it sounds... different.

The script was written by Caleeb Pinkett (unsurprisingly, the brother of Jada Pinkett-Smith) and Daniel Knauf (creator of HBO's "Carnivale")and is currently undergoing a revision by Andrea Berloff (World Trade Center).

Smith will produce with his Overbrook Entertainment partners Jada Pinkett-Smith, James Lassiter, and Ken Stovitz. No director or start date has been announced yet - but I just want to know what the hell this project is before I worry about any of that...
