Cool, Quotable 2nd Trailer: 'Attack the Block'

It's an indisputable empirical fact that 99.9% of people who have seen Attack the Block love it and rave about it until you want to slap them because you haven't seen it yet.  The British action comedy really has been earning near-unanimous raves from everyone who laid eyes on it at SXSW and LA screenings.  The mashup premise is certainly promising: a group of kids in the London projects must defend themselves against alien invaders.  A new trailer appeared at The Guardian (via CinemaBlend), and it is such a blast that you'll be bummed you have to wait awhile to see Attack the Block stateside.

Screen Gems recently acquired the film for distribution here in America, but it does not yet have a release date here in the colonies.  It would be very sharp to schedule this bad boy for late summer.  Anyways, the film marks the feature debut of writer-director Joe Wright and is executive produced by Edgar Wright.  You might recognize Nick Frost from Wright's Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz.  He has a small role in Attack the Block as a neighborhood weed dealer.  Also, that sharp-toothed alien creature glimpsed in the trailer was brought to life by Terry Notary, a movement coach/motion capture performer/choreographer/stuntman who has contributed to Avatar, The Incredible Hulk, Superman Returns, X2, and the upcoming Rise of the Apes, The Hobbit, and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.
