Here's the press release from Relativity Media:
(Beverly Hills, CA) April 22, 2011 – Relativity Media announced today that it will release House at the End of the Street, starring Oscar®-nominee Jennifer Lawrence (Winter’s Bone), Oscar®-nominee Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas) and Max Theriot (My Soul to Take) on February 3, 2012.
Directed by Mark Tonderai (Hush) and written by David Loucka (Dream House),
House centers on a teen girl (Lawrence) who moves with her mom to a new
town and learns that their home is next door to a house where a double
murder took place. Complications ensue when the teen befriends the
massacre's sole surviving son (Thieriot). Shue costars as Lawrence's
mom.
The FilmNation Entertainment and A Bigger Boat film is produced by FilmNation Entertainment’s Aaron Ryder (The Prestige), A Bigger Boat’s Peter Block (Saw franchise), and Hal Lieberman (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines). FilmNation Entertainment will handle distribution outside of the U.S.
The February 2012 release date puts the House at the End of the Street release in the month before the The Hunger Games, an adaptation of the hugely popular young adult novel by Suzanne Collins, which is set for release on March 23, 2012. Lawrence will play the coveted lead role of Katniss Everdeen in that film, directed by Gary Ross. The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar based on her lead performance in Winter's Bone, will next appear as Mystique in this summer's X-Men: First Class.
