You've probably seen films in which a hard-drinking private detective explores the seedy underbelly of his city in an attempt to find a beautiful missing woman. In The Big Bang, Antonio Banderas is the gumshoe, but his investigation leads him to a potentially apocalyptic experiment in particle physics undertaken by an eccentric, possibly insane billionaire. Sam Elliott portrays the billionaire, and he's just one of the characters introduced in three new clips from The Big Bang. The other two clips feature Snoop Dogg as a pretentious porn director and James Van Der Beek as a drug-addled action star who is secretly in love with an albino dwarf. Any one of those characters should inspire you to continue on to the clippage.
Sienna Guilory is the beautiful missing woman, and Autumn Reeser is a stripper with an overwhelming physics fetish. Providing the requisite noir muscle amongst the supporting cast are veteran character actors William Fichtner, Delroy Lindo, and Bill Duke, as well as Jimmi Simpson, who plays one of the twisted McPoyle siblings on FX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The Big Bang is directed by Tony Krantz from a screenplay by Erik Jendresen, and it'll debut in limited release on May 13th, followed by a Blu-Ray and DVD debut on may 23rd.
