Official Green Band 'The Girl With the Dragon Tatoo' Trailer and Poster

Over the weekend, a probably-not-really leaked bootleg of a show-stopping red band trailer for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo appeared online and hung around until today, when Sony finally shuffled it loose.  The David Fincher adaptation of the late Stieg Larsson's hugely successful, hugely jacked-up novel has a new green band trailer, though, and it retains about 99% of the coolness of that red band trailer.  Check out the new trailer, complete with Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig cutting it up Swedish style, and Karen O screeching through 'Immigrant Song' as well as a NSFW international poster.

This bad boy is here for your viewing pleasure thanks to traileraddict.

And here, as promised, is the international poster, featuring Craig as Mikael Blomkvist and Mara as Libesth Salander.  Also Mara's pierced nipple.  Thanks to Slashfilm for this one.

That French tagline translates roughly to "Evil will be expelled with evil."  Based on the red band trailer, now the green band trailer, and this poster, the marketing for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is wonderfully assaultive.  Don't expect any pierced nipples on Stateside posters, but still.  Also, that, "The feel bad movie of Christmas" hook is both intriguing and accurate.

Joining Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are Christopher Plummer, Robin Wright, Stellan Skarsgard, Embeth Davidtz, and Joely Richardson.  THe screenplay is written by Steve Zaillian, and Fincher is reteaming with many of his The Social Network collaborators, including cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth, editors Kirk Baxter and Angus Wall, as well as composers Atticus Ross and Trent Teznor.

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo hits theaters on December 21st.
