Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum in the First Trailer for 'The Vow'

When we first meet Paige and Leo, the characters played by Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum, in this first trailer for The Vow, it's clear that something terrible is going to happen to them.  They're both just too happy, too in love, and too damn good-looking.  Things get real for the deliriously smitten newlyweds when a car accident leaves Paige with total amnesia.  As she tries to cultivate a new identity and make sense of her situation, Leo gives it his all to make her remember the love she once felt for him.  Watch the trailer for yourself, and see two very attractive people in an untenable situation.

The flawless complexions of both lead actors can be seen in pristine HD over at Apple.

The Vow is co-written and directed by Michael Sucsy, who also directed the surprisingly solid HBO movie Grey Gardens (itself adapted from the outstanding 1975 documentary of the same name).  Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum both earned their romantic bona-fides in the Nicholas Sparks adaptations The Notebook and Dear John, respectively.  This time, they've got some heavy duty support from Jessica Lange, Sam Neill, and Scott Speedman, who gets memorably clocked by Tatum in the trailer.

The Vow arrives just in time for the next Valentine's Day, on February 10, 2012.
