Excellent Trailer and Novel Poster for 'Our Idiot Brother'

Most people who get arrested for selling illicit substances to a police officer do so while dealing with with an undercover cop.  In Our Idiot Brother, the well-meaning misanthrope played by Paul Rudd actually provides a uniformed cop with weed.  Following his imprisonment, Rudd's Ned places the burden of himself on his three sisters, played by Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer, and Zooey Deschanel.  The independent comedy-drama was very well-received at Sundance back in January, and an exceedingly solid new theatrical trailer offers a good idea as to why.

For those not satisfied with the level of detail on Rudd's beard, the trailer can be viewed in HD at Yahoo! Movies.

The cast on hand for My Idiot Brother is really impressive.  Rudd looks to be playing a refreshingly imbecilic variation on the nice guy routine that he has honed over the years, while Banks, Mortimer, and Deschanel are all actresses who can capably support entire films, so seeing them all together is quite a thing.  As if that weren't enough, though, the film also features comedic ringers like Steve Coogan, T.J. Miller, Rashida Jones, and Adam Scott

The film is directed by Jesse Peretz, who previously helmed five episodes of the Comedy Central series Important Things With Demetri Martin.
