Two 'Dark of the Moon' TV Spots Give the Full 'Transformers' Experience

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is only a week away from wreaking cinematic havoc all over this great nation of ours, so billboards, bus ads, merchandising tie-ins, and TV spots are legion.  Nonetheless, two new TV spots are worth a second look, as they both include a lot of heretofore unseen imagery and provide a very brief summation of the Transformers franchise as a whole.  There's lots and lots of giant robots in full-on action mode, Peter Cullen's awesome Optimus Prime voice, token concessions to plot, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as Sam Witwicky's beautiful love interest, and even a little bit of humor from Shia Labeouf and Bumblebee.

Thanks to Autobot enthusiast SoftComet for uploading both trailers to Youtube.

With three Transformers films under his belt, one fourth of Michael Bay's filmography is devoted to the Hasbo franchise, and the director is evidently eager to go out on a high note with Dark of the Moon and move on to other avenues of carefully-orchestrated mayhem.  He assembled the most impressive cast in the series so far, between veterans like Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel,  and John Turturro, as well as newbies John Malkovich, Alan Tudyk, Frances McDormand, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, and the voice of Leonard Nimoy.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon officially opens in 3D on June 29th, but showings really begin at 9:00 pm on June 28th.
