'Harry Potter: By the Numbers' Infographic

In less than 48 hours, a whole lot of Americans will have already seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and in doing so partaken in their last new Potter film.  Since the end of this decade-spanning eight film series is finally coming to a much-anticipated end, it is absolutely imperative that we cram in every possible nugget of perspective-inducing Harry Potter information to properly convey the enormity of this occasion.  It's not another batch of pictures or even yet more posters of Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and/or Ralph Fiennes wielding wants.  No, this is a handy inforgaphic which conveniently and eye-pleasingly presents a plethora of numerical stats related to the entirety of the Potter franchise.

This bad boy was created by Matt Sinopoli at CinemaBlend.

To put how far the franchise has come in a decade, we must quote the inimitable Dawson's Creek scholar, undisputed vertical leap record-holder, and six-time Air Hockey International Championship runner-up Daniel Platt, who posed the question, "Who'da thunk this would come out like this, looking a lot like this?."  As is his style, Mr. Platt answered his own question, saying,  "Not me, no sir."   Nor us.  Matthew Lewis will finally get a chance to really shine as Neville Longbottom in Deathly Hallows: Part 2, and the world waits to with baited breath to see if screenwriter Steve Kloves and director David Yates make old Longbottom properly heroic.

The last film in the series has already broken pre-sale records, earning in excess of $32 million in midnight ticket sales.  The film debuts at midnight on Thursday in over 3,800 theaters, and a huge number of shows are sold out.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 takes its bow in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on July 15th.
