Baseball, Stats, Brad Pitt, and Jonah Hill: Second 'Moneyball' Trailer

Hey, remember that awesome trailer for Moneyball that dropped back in June?  You know, the one with Brad Pitt as Billy Beane, the Oakland A's general manager and Jonah Hill as analyst Peter Brand, who sells Beane on a new statistical system of judging players and thusly of putting together a team at all?  It also included a formidable cast and pretty pictures composed by Wally Pfister, Christopher Nolan's go-to cinematographer?  If you've forgotten, or even if you haven't, then you're in luck, as there's a brand new Moneyball trailer, and it's basically an extended version of the first one.  Here you'll find all the aforementioned elements, plus a little bit more.

The trailer is all over the place now, but this embed is courtesy of the good folks at CinemaBlend.

In addition to Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill, the film stars Kathryn Morris, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robin Wright, Tammy Blanchard, and Chris Pratt, who consistently holds it down as lovable moron Andy Dwyer on NBC's Parks and Recreation.

Bennet Miller, who previously directed Seymour Hoffman in Capote and is also responsible for the excellent, odd documentary The Cruise, directs from a screenplay by the incredible combination of Steve Zaillian and Aaron Sorkin, both of whom have screenwriting Oscars, for Schindler's List and The Social Network, respectively.  The script is adapted from the bestseller of the same name by Michael Lewis, who wrote The Blind Side and made high finance interesting and comprehensible in Liar's Poker and The Big Short.

Moneyball is scheduled for September 23rd.
