The image, which debuted at io9, is admittedly not the most extensive look at the Daily Planet, but it does give a proper idea of the aesthetic Snyder and his production designer Alex McDowell are applying to the familiar elements of Superman's world. Besides, it's the Daily Planet globe!

Interestingly, Daily Planet exteriors are being filmed at the Chicago Board of Trade Building, which is familiar as a Gotham fixture in Christopher Nolan's Batman films. In Batman Begins, the building served as the headquarters of Wayne Enterprises, while in The Dark Knight it was recast as a central bit of Gotham architecture. Here's a reminder:

Nolan, who is busy shooting The Dark Knight Rises, is a producer on Man of Steel with his wife Emma Thomas. Nolan and Batman Begins co-writer David S. Goyer crafted the Super-reboot story, which has Snyder directing and his wife Deborah Snyder also producing. Production will spend some time in Chicago before moving on to Vancouver, British Columbia for the majority of filming. In addition to the aforementioned thespians, the cast includes Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Julia Ormond, Harry Lennix, and Christopher Meloni.
Man of Steel is still a ways away, as it does not drop until June 14, 2013.
