Carell has agreed to produce and star in Raised By Wolfs, a comedy pitch that Dreamworks just bought from scribe Les Firestein (a one-time writer on "The Drew Carey Show" and "In Living Color"). The plot is being kept under lock and key, but evidently the title is a reference to the main character’s last name. So no, no wacky animal shenanigans in this one. Not for sure, anyway.
No time frame has been set up for the flick yet, but perhaps Carell will try to fit it in after the first half of "The Office" is completed; when it wraps up completely next year, Carell will bid farewell to the show that made him a star.
Meanwhile, Wolfs still needs to find a director before anything can move forward.
