As the tagline asserts, "They Left Her No Choice." Carano plays Mallory Kane, a highly trained secret operative for a private security contractor who suddenly and inexplicably finds herself betrayed by her organization and those who she trusted with her life. Out of a natural sense of self-preservation and a healthy desire for payback, Kane must find out the truth while being hunted by professional assassins.

A professional Mixed Martial Arts star, Gina Carano makes her feature debut in Haywire, and given her background, she wasn't going to miss out on executing her own stunts. In fact, Steven Soderbergh explained at San Diego Comic-Con that the entire concept for the film came about when he happened to see Carano fighting on television and realized that someone should structure an action movie around the beautiful ass-kicker.
Supporting Carano in her first film role is a top-notch cast, including the likes of Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, Bill Paxton, and Michael Angarano, many of whom will presumably get knocked out by the leading lady.
Haywire is scheduled to hit theaters on January 20, 2012.
Full Disclosure: Haywire is produced by Relativity Media, iamROGUE'S parent company.
