Kryptonite Bullets in the First Trailer for 'Justice League: Doom'

Since Batman: The Animated Series first premiered in the early 1990's, Kevin Conroy has voiced the Caped Crusader on multiple television series, as well as in a theatrical feature, and multiple videogames.  He's sitting out Warner Premiere's new animated feature, Batman: Year One, as it features a younger Batman, but Conroy's back in Justice League: Doom, the next DC Universe-based animated movie.  At New York Comic-Con this weekend, Warner Premiere debuted the first trailer for the superhero ensemble, which is loosely based on Mark Waid's comic arc Justice League: Tower of Babel.  The story finds each member of the League made vulnerable when an enemy utilizes Batman's secret contingency plans against his cohorts.  As you can see in the trailer, the enemy in Doom is, appropriately enough, the Legion of Doom.

The trailer, which tests the classic schoolyard hypothesis that shooting Superman with a Kryptonite bullet would be the best way to dispatch Supes, is available in high definition at IGN.

In addition to Conroy getting his grizzle on as Bruce Wayne and Batman, Justice League: Doom, features many a fan favorite returning to lend their voices to familiar characters.  Cult figure and erstwhile Malcolm Reynolds Nathan Fillion once again voices Green Lantern after doing so in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, while Michael Rosenbaum, familiar as Smallville's Lex Luthor, returns as the voice of the Flash.  Tim Daly, who gave voice to Clark Kent on Superman: The Animated Series, is back as the sound of the Big Blue Boy Scout, too.  The rest of the cast includes the likes of Olivia D'Abo, Susan Eisenberg, Paul Lumbly, and Carlos AlazraquiLauren Montgomery, who served as co-director on the about-to-be-released Batman:Year One, is the film's sole director.

Justice League: Doom is set to debut in early 2012, while Batman: Year One arrives on store shelves tomorrow, October 18th, but is already available in digital form.
