This was not the case in the first film, but this time Cage plays Blaze even when he's in flaming-skull mode, so though we don't see his face, that's Nicolas Cage preparing to dramatically turn towards camera in the clip.
Neveldine and Taylor previously directed Crank, Crank 2: High Voltage, and Gamer, all of which give a good idea of their unapologetically frenetic, gung-ho style. That style could potentially suit the rather outrageous Ghost Rider quite well, and the design approach, with a blackened, smoky skull and brimstone-looking outfit, is certainly more striking than the first movie's clean demon.
The directors have pulled together an interestingly eclectic cast. Johnny Whitworth most recently appeared as the drug-peddling ex-borther-in-law in Limitless, and 90's nostalgists will remember him as the sensitive artiste in Empire Records. Playing a warrior monk is Idris Elba, who will forever be associated with his magnificent work as Stringer Bell on HBO's The Wire, but who is now probably (sadly) more well known as gold-loving Heimdall in Thor. Then there's the Highlander himself, Christopher Lambert, who will show up in a presumably odd role. Perhaps most exciting though, character actor Ciaran Hinds, who played Julius Caesar on the HBO series Rome, plays the Devil this time around.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is scheduled for release on February 17, 2012.
