Throw-Down Ladyfight in a New 'Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol' Clip

Now this is how you market a big action movie.  Paramount Pictures has released a brand new clip from Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol clip, and it doesn't include a moment of Tom Cruise swinging around on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai or Jeremy Renner leaping to what could be his death.  Instead, this official clip relies on a market-tested, guaranteed method of generating interest.  How? Two absolutely beautiful women beating the shit out of each other.  In this case, the two gorgeous women throwing down are Paula Patton and Lea Seydoux, the former being an IMF agent on Ethan Hunt's team and the latter being affiliated with the bad guys.  Grab some popcorn and just imagine this knock-down drag-out bit of fisticuffs in IMAX.

This clip debuted over at IGN, where it is entitled, "Mission: Impossible 4 Babe Battle."  Hard to argue with a title that self-explanatory.

Paula Patton should be familiar from Deja Vu, Precious: Based on the Novel "Precious" by Sapphire, Just Wright, and Hitch, while Lea Seydoux has appeared in Inglourious Basterds and Robin Hood, as well as Midnight in Paris more recently.  They're joined in the latest Mission: Impossible by Cruise, Renner, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Michael Nyqvist, Anil Kapoor, Josh Holloway, and Tom Wilkinson.

Brad Bird, the animation master behind straight-up classics The Iron Giant, Ratatouille, and The Incredibles, makes his live-action debut with the fourth installment in the franchise.  He directs from a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie and Alias writing duo Andre Nemec and Josh Applebaum.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, which features sequences shot in IMAX cameras, debuts in the jumbo-size format early, on December 16th, followed by a wide release on December 21st.  Don't forget that select IMAX screenings will also be preceded by a six minute The Dark Knight Rises prologue.
