The still premiered at Entertainment Weekly, and Arterton explained to the magazine that the film will boast "kind of got a [Quentin] Tarantino feel, really." She also elaborated on the concept, saying, "They had to murder somebody when they are kids! So it’s all about being tough. Jeremy and I found within the script moments where we showed the vulnerable side of them. Often in action movies, people are scared to put that in. I think it was important. Just a couple moments, tender moments, when the guard drops, then you understand."

Arterton also said of the two characters, "Gretel is much more in tune with her spiritual side. Hansel is a typical action hero, cheeky, funny, a womanizer. She’s much more of a thinker, intense, internal and bit more open-minded than he is."
There's more from Arterton over at EW. The actress is no stranger to big franchise movies, having starred in Quantum of Solace, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and Clash of the Titans, but Renner definitely takes the cake for juggling different potential series, as he'll shortly appear in both Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and The Avengers, as well as starring in The Bourne Legacy.
Back on topic, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is co-written and directed by Tommy Wirkola, the Norwegian director responsible for Dead Snow. The cast includes Famke Janssen, Derek Mears, Peter Stormare, and Zoe Bell, the veteran Kiwi stuntwoman who spent plenty of time on the hood of a car in Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof.
The first trailer for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will debut online next Thursday, and the film itself will arrive in theaters on March 2, 2012.
