Bruce Willis, Sigourney Weaver see 'The Cold Light of Day'

Last week it was reported that "The Tudors" star Henry Cavill just nabbed his second leading man role (after Immortals) in The Cold Light of Day, a kidnapping thriller set in Spain. Now, a few more names have boarded the project - and big ones to boot.

According to Variety, action heroes of yore Sigourney Weaver and Bruce Willis are in talks to star in the flick, which is being directed by JCVD helmer Mabrouk El Mechri.

Willis would play Cavill's shady father, while Weaver would play - sweet! - the lead villain. I like it! (It should be noted that Variety is claiming Willis is absolutely in, while Weaver is still "in talks".)

The story centers on a cocky young Wall Street trader who reluctantly vacations with his family in Spain. When his family is kidnapped, he is thrust into a government conspiracy and must unravel his father's darkest secret in order to save his loved ones.

Production is scheduled to start on September 6th in Spain; Richard Price recently did a polish on the original screenplay written by Scott Wiper and John Petro. Summit Entertainment, which is already in the Bruce Willis business with the action film Red, will distribute domestically.
