The video is the most interesting component of the newly updated 007.com, which also includes a handy-dandy countdown letting us know that there are currently 297 days until the American theatrical debut of Skyfall.
Worth noting that this particular Bond will set an all-time record for product placement.
The durable franchise got a jolt with Craig's first turn as Bond in 2006's Casino Royale, but the subsequent film, Quantum of Solace, generally underwhelmed. That film functioned as a surprisingly direct continuation of Casino Royale's storyline, but was largely action sequences tied together by rushed expository scenes of Bond watching people talk.
Unlike Quantum of Solace, Skyfall will be more of a standalone Bond movie, with Oscar-winning American Beauty and Away We Go director Sam Mendes making his first action movie. So far, the promise has been that this one will change things up a bit. Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who have contributed to every Bond script since The World is Not Enough, did work on the new screenplay, with subsequent revisions by John Logan. His credits include Gladiator, Rango, The Aviator, The Last Samurai, and Hugo.
Daniel Craig and Judi Dench reprise their roles as Bond and M, respectively, with Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw joining MI-6 as an agent and the young new Q, respectively. Javier Bardem is on board as the villain, while Ralph Fiennes plays a mysterious character. Also in the cast are Berenice Marlohe, Albert Finney, and Helen McCrory.
Skyfall is set to hit theaters Stateside on November 9.
