LOS ANGELES (January 3, 2012) — One of the most successful films of 2011, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, will be released as a Two-Disc Special Edition DVD and a Special Edition Blu-ray on Saturday, February 11, 2012. This weekend street date allows retailers to host Friday night pre-release parties for eager fans willing to count down to midnight to purchase their copies. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 is being released more than a month earlier than previous Twilight Saga DVDs to give fans a Valentine’s Day with Edward and Jacob. “We thought the fans would love to spend Valentine’s Day watching Bella & Edward’s wedding and honeymoon. It’s really the most romantic of all the Saga films,” said T.J. Moffett, Summit’s EVP of Home Entertainment Marketing.
