The First 'Jeff, Who Lives at Home' Trailer with Jason Segel and Goateed Ed Helms

Both Jason Segel and Ed Helms are comedic actors who star in movies between playing leads on popular television series, with Segel on How I Met Your Mother and Helms on The Office.  Now they're both starring in Jeff, Who Lives at Home, a comedic drama from Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass, the duo who wrote, directed, and produced mumblecore mainstays The Puffy Chair and Baghead, as well as 2010's Cyrus.  Segel plays the eponymous Jeff and Helms is his brother Pat, who is having some Porsche and wife-related problems while his sibling attempts to parse out his own existence and destiny.  The first trailer is online, and it promises that the film will be another enjoyably low-key, funny, Duplasstastic little tale with lovable characters.

The outstanding trailer debuted at Apple today, and you can head over there to view it in high definition, or you can watch the standard definition version just below.

On the subject of television acting, co-director and co-writer Mark Duplass also plays a lead on a successful comedic show, FX's fantasy football ensemble The League.  His wife, Kate Aselton, also stars on that series, and she plays a supporting role in Jeff, Who Lives With at Home.  They're both part of a cast that includes Susan Sarandon and Judy Greer, who just did some excellent work in The Descendants but who I'll always think of as Kitty on Arrested Development.

Jeff, Who Lives at Home is set to hit theaters on March 16th.
