The 'Prometheus' International Poster Looks Familiar

A new international poster for Prometheus is currently making the rounds online, and the first thing you'll notice is that it is almost identical to the previously-released domestic one sheet.  But what the heck, this mysterious quasi-prequel to Alien is Ridley Scott's first time back in the science fiction realm since Blade Runner back in 1982, so we're going to keep posting about it regardless of how novel the poster is or isn't.

It's pretty much the same poster, with the same spacesuited figure shining a light on that giant face that keeps popping up in promotional material from the movie.  We still don't know whose mug it's supposed to be or anything, but this international poster brightens the image up a bit, giving a better look of the detail on the terribly mysterious domepiece and the Giger-like background.

Big thanks to Italian site All Newz, where the poster debuted.

Scott's making his first feature filmed in 3D here, and he's had such an enjoyable experience working the format that he's publicly declared he'll never make another 2D movie.  That means you should probably prepare yourself with some Rogue 3D Eyewear.

The screenplay is written by Jon Spaihts and Lost co-executive producer Damon LindelofNoomi Rapace leads a cast that includes Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, Guy Pearce, Patrick Wilson, and Rafe Spall.

Prometheus hits theaters on June 8th.
