Watch An Enchanted 'Mirror Mirror' International Trailer

Two months ago, the first Mirror Mirror domestic trailer provided the most substantial look at Relativity Media's fantastical reimagining of the classic Snow White fairy tale.  Today, a newly-released international trailer showcases even more of the sumptuous visuals that have become the signature of any film from director Tarsem Singh, who last helmed the hit 3D action epic Immortals

The sight of dwarf bandits gracefully bandying about in elaborately designed stilt costumes – as well as an any number of other visual flourishes, including a lavish costume party and a magnificently designed palace – certainly makes an undeniable impression.  Just as importantly, though, this international trailer also features a better sense of the film's tone, which combines whimsical humor and spirited, swashbuckling adventure in a manner reminiscent of The Princess Bride.

In a time of seemingly endless gritty updates of familiar tales, Mirror Mirror has the potential to be a refreshingly upbeat and charming take on a story that has such a long history and deep resonance.  See for yourself:

Here's the official synopsis for the film:

Mirror Mirror is a spectacular reimagining of the classic fairy tale starring Oscar(r) winner Julia Roberts as the Queen, Lily Collins (The Blind Side) as Snow White, Armie Hammer (The Social Network) as Prince Alcott, Sean Bean ("The Game of Thrones", The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King) as the King and Nathan Lane (The Lion King, The Birdcage) as the Queen's hapless and bungling servant, Brighton.  An evil queen steals control of a kingdom and an exiled princess enlists the help of seven resourceful rebels to win back her birthright in a spirited adventure comedy filled with jealousy, romance and betrayal that will capture the imagination of audiences the world over.

Visionary director Tarsem Singh (Immortals) rewrites fairy tale history as a wicked enchantress (Roberts) schemes and scrambles for control of a spirited orphan's (Collins) throne and the attention of a charming prince (Hammer). When Snow White's beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravening man-eating beast hungrily awaits.

Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers, Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen. With the support of her subjects, she roars into action in an epic battle that blends spectacle, magic and contemporary humor in Singh's signature, jaw-dropping visual style.

With Julia Roberts, Lily Collins, and Armie Hammer leading the cast as The Evil Queen, Snow White, and Prince Andrew Alcott, respectively, support is lent by Nathan Lane as the Queen's servant Brighton and Sean Bean as The King.  Also on hand are Mark Povinelli, Sebastian Saraceno, Joey Gnoffo, Danny Woodburn, Martin Klebba, Ronald Lee Clark, and Jordan Prentice as the invaluable seven dwarf bandits who teach our heroine to fight for her kingdom.

Mirror Mirror was previously scheduled for theatrical release on March 16th, but Relativity just announced that the film will now arrive in theaters on March 30th, so make sure to correct your calendars.

Full Disclosure: Mirror Mirror was produced by Relativity Media, iamRogue's parent company.
