As he's done so often in the past, Diesel posted this image on his official Facebook page, and provided a bit of context as well, saying,
"First time I posted about Riddick was back in 2009, Facebook was fresh...They were asking me to come to the headquarters to talk about this new concept of communicating with fans. I was proud to lead that wave, yet all I was doing, was opening up about my passion - film. So this picture of Our 2012 production of Riddick, is a cool victory for all of us... it shows that studios can be influenced by your voice.
P.s. Proud of Our Riddick team."

Intergalactic mass-murderer Richard B. Riddick needs those goggles because, during a stint in an underground prison, he had his eyeballs polished so he could see perfectly in near total darkness. The character ran away with director David Twohy's Pitch Black, then he and Diesel tried to make him a more straightforward epic hero with 2004's The Chronicles of Riddick. For the tentatively-titled Riddick, the character is going back to his R-rated roots, and will once again be defending himself on a planet of nasty alien creatures.
He'll also be trying to outrun a team of mercenaries, two of whom are played by Katee Sackhoff and Jordi Molla. Karl Urban is also expected to briefly reprise his Chronicles role as Necromancer Lord Vaako in a flashback. Twohy once again writes and directs.
There's not yet a Riddick release date, but it'll hit in 2013, presumably before Diesel's other signature character shows up again in the sixth The Fast and the Furious movie.
