Super Bowl TV Spot Roundup: Dictators, Avengers, and a Lorax, Oh My!

Super Bowl XLVI is in the books, ladies and gentlemen.  The Vince Lombardi Trophy will spend the next year hanging out with the New York Giants, while Bill Belichick is currently taking an Imperial Shuttle back to the second Death Star so he can brood over the loss in his throne room.  Over the course of the game, though, there were plenty of high-profile TV spots for some of this year's biggest movies.  We've collected them here so that you can view said TV spots without all that, you know, football.

Some of these, like The Dictator and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, were revealed in full earlier in the week, while others, like The Avengers and John Carter, were teased with oh-so brief ten-second commercials for commercials.  Now, though, Downton Abbey is on and all of the TV spots from the biggest of big games are right here for your viewing pleasure, starting with The Dictator and running through Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, Battleship, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, The Lorax, John Carter, and The Avengers.

While Giants QB Eli Manning won the actual Super Bowl MVP honors, it must be said that Taylor Kitsch worked overtime for the TV spot MVP distinction, as the erstwhile Tim Riggins (on NBC's Friday Night Lights) stars in both John Carter and Battleship.

Both John Carter and The Avengers debuted extended editions (this is getting out of hand) of their respective Super Bowl spots, and you'll find those jumbo-sized versions after the shorter spots below.
