Hellish Destructo-Crane in a New Clip from 'Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance'

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is just a bit more than a week from its 3D theatrical debut here in the states, and in anticipation of the Marvel character's second cinematic outing, a new official clip has landed online.  Contrary to what you might expect from a Ghost Rider sequel directed by Neveldine/Taylor, the clip is a quiet dialogue scene of nuanced and observant character interaction focusing on one man haunted by his unforgivable past.

Actually, the clip features no real dialogue and instead contains more or less exactly what you'd expect from this directorial duo and the source material.  In the sequel, which bares no real relation to 2007's Ghost Rider beyond leading man Nicolas Cage, Johnny Blaze has a whole new power.  Anything he sits astride automatically turns into a hellish, fire-belching version of itself.  In this brief clip, the Rider takes to a giant piece of construction equipment.

See the results in the clip below (appropriately titled "Demolition"), which is courtesy of Yahoo! Movies.

Ideally, the film would use this new power to feature Ghost Rider on a Hell-Vespa, a Hell-Razor scooter, and Hell-Wheelie Shoes.

The sorta-sequel is directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, a directorial duo whose style has been made clear over the course of Crank, Crank: High Voltage, and GamerThis story, their first PG-13 endeavor, finds former stunt motorcyclist and Satan's lapdog Johnny Blaze teaming up with some warrior monks to save the soul of a young boy from the devil himself.

Cage is back in Blaze's leathers, but the rest of the cast is all new.  Idris Elba leads the supporting players in a cast that includes Johnny Whitworth, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Anthony Head, Christopher Lambert, and Fergus Riordan.

Arm up on Rogue 3D Eyewear with Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance set for February 17th.
