Along with the many of the folks behind the documentary, Nev Schulman, the photographer and central figure in Catfish, is teaming up with the cable network to examine real people living double lives online or impacted by those who choose to do so.
In order to explore the internet subculture of people now known as "Catfish," though, the Double Life series needs subjects on whom to focus. If you're someone who uses social media to invent, exaggerate, or manipulate, or if you know someone who does this, then MTV is looking to to make you a part of the show.

To get a fuller idea of the tone and content of the show, check out Catfish. The film follows Nev Schulman as he meets and falls for a woman named Megan Faccio online, eventually deciding to seek her out in real life and making many an unexpected discovery in the process.
