More Story in Subtitles: Japanese 'Brave' Trailer & Poster

Hey, I know some of y'all really don't roll with subtitles, but there's a new Japanese trailer for Pixar's Brave making the rounds online, and it is entirely worth a watch or two.  Accompanied by an atmospheric international poster, this new trailer provides the most comprehensive idea so far of Brave's actual story, while also providing the necessary scope and adventure.

Domestically, Disney has been amping up its marketing efforts on the original Pixar feature, recently releasing a poster, a TV spot, and a fantastic trailer that's actually a clip.  These all did a damn fine job of introducing Princess Merida, Pixar's first heroine, but this Japanese trailer actually goes deep into the story, which has Merida's deal with a witch undermining the entire kingdom.  Not just that, but it's also dazzlingly beautiful.

Big thanks to Bleeding Cool for unearthing these gems in order that our American eyes may bask in their excellence.

And, as promised, here's the poster:

You can't hear any one of them here, what with the Japanese voice actors filling in, but the English-language cast is led by Kelly Macdonald as Merida and also includes Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Robbie Coltrane, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, and Julie Walters.  The screenplay is written by Irene Mecchi and Brenda Chapman, who co-directs with Mark Andrews.  Andrews also co-wrote and acted as second-unit director on this month's John Carter, but that's neither here nor there.

Brave arrives Stateside on June 22nd, so pick up some Rogue 3D Eyewear before then.
