Date Night

Do you want to go have a Date Night with Steve Carell and Tina Fey? Or if you are not into that, you could always hang around The Joneses and find out about all the appliances, gadgets and gizmos that you don’t have.

That’s it folks. Not a big day for DVD and Blu-ray release. First up is the hit comedy about a couple looking for some quality time together in Date Night. The film scored some decent critical praise and even found an audience making it a modest hit. Fey, Carell and the scene with the gun pointed the kill way? I’m up for it.

With Letters To God, a young boy with Cancer begins sending a series of letters to… well, God. Somehow, this act changes the neighborhood for the better… but I’m not sure if it helps the boy. While it sounds like it means well, the critical consensus could’ve used a few more prayers with a measly 17% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It’s hard to believe that a movie starring Demi Moore and David Duchovny would fall under the radar like this one. This story of a “family” put together to try and influence their neighbors sounds very intriguing. As the couple with their “children” put the pressure on neighbors to go out and buy the latest thing, whatever that thing may be, will they learn something about themselves? I’m guessing so. Amber Heard also stars as the “daughter” and that is reason enough for me to see it.

Finally, My Name is Khan takes a look at a Muslim man taking a trip across the United States. This is part love story and part social commentary after the devastating effects of 9/11. The trailer looks like it might be worth checking out.
